Communications Leader | IABC

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Communications Leader for The Integrated Supply Chain function, which is located in Phoenix, AZ. This position provides strategic communications planning and execution in support of ISC objectives. Accountabilities include defining, executing and coordinating effective employee and supplier communications programs through integrated communications planning, content development and use of multiple channels to facilitate two-way communications flows. These channels may include, but are not limited to, special events, executive messages, town hall meetings, videos, digital publications, corporate programming, site network coordination, the intranet and internal social media tools.

The Communications Leader serves as a member of the ISC Leadership team and regularly interacts with other areas of the ISC organization and Aerospace Communications team to support integrated campaigns and strategic planning with a focus on ISC employee engagement.

The position reports to the Aerospace Employee Communications Director and will interact regularly with other Communications leaders supporting Aerospace-wide and regional communications.

Job scope:

• Develop and implement communications strategies and core messaging that meet business objectives and priorities.
• Create content and manage delivery in support of engaging global ISC employees in the business?s priorities.
• Develop and implement internal communications programs for executive staff including the Vice President of ISC and members of the ISC Leadership Team.
• Proactively seek out new ideas and facilitate collaboration across other Aerospace organizations to support integrated communications plans.
• Enforce broader Honeywell Corporate Communications policies
• Collaborate with Aerospace Communications team on projects and other opportunities to improve the function?s support of the business.
• Develop communications plans and tactics in support of planned and unplanned crisis and issues management.
• Support communications coordination a network of 100 sites globally
• Develop and execute supplier communications initiatives
• Manage global ISC Communications Specialists team (potential 3 staff)
• Coordinate and facilitate vendor relationships and project teams as appropriate.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor?s degree in Communications/Journalism or technical discipline
• 10+ years of communications/journalism experience.

Additional Qualifications:

• Communications/journalism experience in a large complex organization strongly preferred.
• Ability to present technical and often complex information in a clear and compelling manner. Excellent writing and editorial skills as well as the ability to make clear, convincing presentations to senior management.
• Strong project management and ability to execute.
• Ability to communicate using a variety of media through an innovative mix of traditional and non-traditional communications to engage employees in company programs/initiatives.
• Experience planning meetings and events, including program management capabilities, and attention to details and logistics.
• Self-starter with ability to thrive in a matrix organizational structure where priorities can shift quickly.
• Ability to work effectively through others who are not direct reports.
• Ability to lead across borders and cross-functional teams and achieve consistent, measurable results.
• Relationship building skills that enable the individual to influence thinking and outcomes through professional credibility.
• Ability to manage multiple programs/projects simultaneously.
• High energy and flexibility, demonstrated leadership skills, and a positive leadership style.
