College Football Preview - Week 12 Odds and Predictions

Oregon StanfordLast week turned out to be a disaster as we went 1-5 thanks to a couple of bad breaks. ?Georgia was our only winner and they had no issue covering the 15-point spread that Las Vegas assigned, but Oregon State lost a late lead that could have easily been a win for us, while TCU fell apart after losing their starting quarterback to injury early. ?We'll hope for better luck in the week 12 prediction listed below and a big week should be on the horizon.

Record against the point spread: 28-34

Kent State at Bowling Green -2.5

The Golden Flashes are a good team this year, but Bowling Green is a legitimate top 25 squad. ?The Falcons are playing at home and should have no problem using their elite defense to win this game while covering the odds.

Tennessee at Vanderbilt -3

Vanderbilt has been getting no respect this year and I think they can easily cover the number against the Volunteers. ?Tennessee has no defense and is on the road against a more complete team.?

USC -4 at UCLA

The Trojans' defense has failed them too often this season for me to have much trust left. ?UCLA can score points and this looks like a back-and-forth game with the team holding the ball last winning. ?Go with the Bruins as underdogs.

Oklahoma -11 at West Virginia

These teams have both been huge dissapointments in recent weeks but I still believe that West Virginia has the offense to keep this one within single digits at home. ?The Sooners could realistically score 50 and not cover the point spread, so I'll take the Mountaineers.

Stanford at Oregon -20.5

The Ducks are slow starters and make mistakes quite often, so I think a well-disciplined team like Stanford can keep the game close. ?Oregon will pull away in the 2nd half like usual but I don't think they win by more than 14 or so at most.

Iowa at Michigan -17

The Wolverines have issues moving the ball against legitimate defenses and I think even this year's watered-down Iowa squad can give them problems. ?Go with the Hawkeyes in what could be the biggest upset of the week.

Texas Tech at Oklahoma State -10

Oklahoma State can score a ton of points but the defense is again suspect. ?Texas Tech isn't the team we've seen in previous years and I think they can slow down the Cowboys while scoring on long drives. ?This one will be close.
