MOSCOW (AP) ? Russian NTV television is reporting that the U.S. Embassy employee accused of spying and ordered to leave the country has flown out of Moscow.
The Kremlin-loyal TV station broadcast video that appeared to show Ryan Fogle passing through passport control and security at the Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow. The report said he left on Sunday.
Russian security services announced Tuesday that Fogle, a third secretary in the U.S. Embassy, had been caught trying to recruit a Russian agent. Fogle was declared persona non grata and ordered to leave the country.
The U.S. Embassy has refused to comment on the case.
